How did you meet?

We were lucky enough to meet on the Hinge app since we had been living 2 miles away from each other for years.

Who made the first move?

Tyler tried to match with Nicole previously and when he saw her pop up on the app a second time, he knew he had another chance to match with her and ask her out.

What first attracted you to each other?

Nicole: He texted me daily and always made a point to see me often the first few weeks we were dating, which was a breath of fresh air.

Tyler: She was more beautiful in person than her online photos. We hit it off right away and I quickly knew our personalities were a perfect match.

What is your favorite memory with each other?

Nicole: Getting engaged and buying a house together in a 4 month timeframe was pretty epic.

What is your favorite way of spending time together?

Nicole: There's nothing better than coming home after a long day to Tyler and Harmony, cooking dinner and watching our favorite shows together. 

Tyler: Sitting on the beach with our toes in the sand. 

How did you get engaged?

We were under contract on a home with a park behind it. On October 25, 2024, after the home inspections, Tyler led Nicole down the trail to the beautiful lake with fall trees surrounding it. We were excited to see where we would walk our future dog and build a life together. Nicole was extremely distracted by the airplanes flying overhead and was concerned they were buying a house in a flight path. Tyler was glad Nicole was distracted and stopped at a stunning vista of the lake with ducks. He got down on one knee and asked Nicole to spend the rest of her life with him. She quickly said yes and was overjoyed by the thought of their future.

Spoiler alert: Ten days after the engagement, we ended up terminating the contract on that house due to structural issues, but found a more beautiful, new construction home to start our life together. Everything happens for a reason. 

Why did you decide on a destination wedding?

We didn't love the idea of only getting 4 hours to celebrate with our favorite people. A destination wedding allows everyone to escape the everyday stresses of life, enjoy a beautiful oasis and celebrate our love to the fullest.
